Personal branding is a valuable intangible asset for business founders to survive in cutthroat competitions. To this end, Kaixuan Street’s Enterprise Service Center (“Kaixuan”) launched a workshop that helped business elites build their personal brands with a local startup incubator. Zhao Jing, an expert in impression management, was present to address the audience.

The workshop took place at Kaixuan’s startups club. Zhao Jing shared her experience in how founders can effectively shape a personal image. She pointed out that a strong personal brand can help win public trust, boost brand awareness, and foster loyalty among potential customers.

She further explained in details the process of building personal brands, including an analysis of one’s charisma, design of appearance, and its connection with a commercial value. She presented a whole package of tips to the audience, stressed the importance of narrating a personalized account through some cases, and lectured on how to make the stories a part of branding to bridge the gap between the business and market.

The audience gained ready-to-use insights and strategies, and they came to understand how to elevate their impact through social media and speeches. More importantly, they realized that personal branding is not just about the physical look but one’s ideas and values. The awareness would enable them to communicate sincerely with target customers for the creation of further connections.

In addition to the improvement of personal skills, the workshop served as a platform for the entrepreneurs to socialize with each other. Discussions among the participants, initiated by Zhao herself, led to a host of new ideas and collaboration opportunities. Many said they found like-minded friends here, and got inspired with new resources for their business.

They acknowledged that the workshop had brought significant benefits to their personal growth and corporate branding. Not only did they learn how to shape and maintain a personal brand, but they also came to know about the connections between personal brand and corporate image. Such activities, thanks to Kaixuan and its startups club, bring in a broadened horizon, improved capabilities, and an enhanced foothold in the fierce market competition.

In a word, it was not only a seminar on personal branding but an opportunity to help with an enhanced core business competency. Entrepreneurs in such events will not only gain knowledge of personal brand building but expand their social networks that help unlock more possibilities for their business.
