From September 22nd to 24th, the 24th (2023) Jiangsu Agricultural International Cooperation Negotiation Conference (hereinafter referred to as the “Agricultural Expo”) was held in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province. Nearly a hundred guests from 22 countries and regions, including Uruguay, Costa Rica, Laos, Australia, Japan, Brazil, and more, attended the event. Over 7,100 companies participated in the exhibition, with more than 1,000 companies from 15 countries and regions exhibiting on-site.

During the three-day duration of this Agricultural Expo, various significant thematic events were held, including the opening ceremony, the first Jiangsu Seminar on High-Quality Development of Edible Agricultural Product Processing Industry, Lianyungang City’s Conference on High-Quality Development of the Tea Industry, the third ‘Mushrooms Unite the World’ Edible Mushroom Industry Development Conference, and the ‘Fingertips Connect the World’ E-commerce Assistance for Bountiful Harvest Agricultural Livestreaming Event. These events encompassed a wide range of topics and focused on promoting high-quality development in various sectors.

It was reported that the conference adopted a ‘hybrid online and offline’ approach, attracting more than 7,100 domestic and international companies to participate, along with over 1,500 professionals and more than 50,000 citizens attending the grand event. Among them, over 1,000 companies from 15 countries and regions exhibited their products on-site, showcasing more than 3,600 varieties of products. The on-site sales amounted to over 4.6 million yuan, while online live-streaming sales exceeded 10 million yuan.

Additionally, during this Agricultural Expo, a total of 27 agricultural cooperation projects were signed in Jiangsu Province. Among them, there were 10 investment-related projects with agreements totaling 2.336 billion yuan, 14 trade cooperation projects with a trade volume of 2.623 billion yuan, and 3 agricultural technology cooperation and “going global” projects with agreements totaling 61 million yuan.
