In April, series of activities within the theme of “Chengxian Forum” were officially held on the Sixth Campus Culture and Arts Festival by the Southeast University Chengxian College in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province.
Huang Keqing, a mentor from Nanjing University of the Arts who specialized in cultural industry and college students’ growing intelligence and also known as a moral education publicity pioneer and career planning tutor for undergraduates, as the guest speaker for teaching, her expertise covers not only the lectures led by excellent traditional culture for individual psychology and harmonious families and, but also the adolescent growth psychology. Professor Huang’s class styles: pragmatic in culture—based on cases and appreciated by all levels of educated; practical in tools—using while learning, encouraging effective application. And her Main courses: Parents’ Classroom, Female Mature Intelligence and Psychological Guidance in the New Era. Professor Huang is the author of “Mental health education for College Students”, published in October 2019, which was collected as the teaching material of Higher Vocational School Plan of the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan of China.
Starting from the origin of psychology, Professor Huang briefly introduced the important concepts and related theories of young people’s psychology to college students in easy to understand language. Speaking with fervour and assurance, she carried with clear guiding principle and integrated theories with practice. To conform the knowledge, Professor Huang mixed some of the modules with profound lead-in and simple conclusion to explain the concepts by using vivid cases.
Throughout the courses, the students listened and took notes carefully. Laughs burst when it came to knowing moments. At the end, they benefited a lot and hoped for more. According to their expressions, the students said they had achieved the goal of mutual exchange, broadening their horizons and cultivating their abilities through the courses. After going back, they would put the psychological knowledge learned here into practice in their college life. This module, the introduction of psychology, will lay the foundation for the students’ further study of psychological knowledge. Professor Huang Keqing’s vivid lectures will make the knowledge of psychology blow into the hearts of college students like seeds, taking root and sprouting. The Southeast University Chengxian College, with the help of high-quality social resources and strength, has created a characteristic moral education classroom to form a brand of ideological and political educational activities, and has played an important role in guiding the ideological and political education of teachers and students.
